STATEMENT ...OF... FAITH

We Believe That:

1. In the beginning was GOD and the Word (Bible) was with GOD. GOD created the heavens and the earth and all that is within it. (Genesis 1:1-31; Genesis 2-1, 2; John 1:1-3)
2. All scripture is given by inspiration of GOD, in that holy men of GOD were moved by the Holy Spirit to write the very words of GOD. This Word is profitable, good, complete, and is inerrant in the original manuscripts. (John 1:1, John 1:14, II Timothy 3:16; Matthew 5:18; 2 Peter 1:20, 21)
3.

There is only one true GOD; and, that GOD is one. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29, Isaiah 43:10, 11; Isaiah 45: 5, 6; John 10:30; James 2:19)

This one true GOD is the self-existent I AM. (Exodus 3:14; John 8:58)

God has revealed himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; John 20:21, 22; II Corinthians 13:14)

4. Humankind was originally created good and in innocence; for GOD said, “Let us make humanity in our image, after our likeness”. (Genesis 1:26) However, humanity, by voluntary transgression, fell and thereby incurred spiritual death and separation from GOD for all descendents of Adam. (Genesis 1: 26, 27; Genesis 2: 17; Genesis 3:6; Romans 3:10-23; Romans 5:12-19)
5. The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of GOD. He came into this world to fulfill prophecy, manifest GOD to men, and be the redeemer of the lost world. We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, that he is GOD manifested in the flesh, and in him dwelt all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. (Colossians 2:9)

The scriptures declare the following:

His virgin birth (Matthew 1:23)

His sinless life (Hebrews 7:26; I Peter 2:22)
His miracles (Acts 2:22; Acts 10-38)
His High Priestly Ministry (Hebrews 3:1; Hebrews 4:14-16; Hebrews 10: 19-23)
His substitutionary work on the cross (I Corinthians 15:3; II Corinthians 5:21)
His bodily resurrection from the dead (Matthew 28:6; Luke 24:39; I Corinthians 15:4)
His exaltation (Acts 1:9-11; Philippians 2:9-11; Hebrews 1:1-3)
6. Humankind’s only hope of redemption is through the covenant established through Jesus Christ (Romans 3:24; Hebrews 8: 6-10; Hebrews 10: 15-17)

Salvation is by grace through faith, and not of yourselves: it is the gift of GOD (Ephesians 2:8; Galatians 3: 22,26)

One must be born-again ---------- born of the water and born of the spirit ----------- to enter the kingdom of GOD (John 3: 3-5)

Belief should be followed by repentance, water baptism by immersion in the name Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 6:3-5; Ephesians 3: 14-15; Galatians 3:27) and direct witness of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38; Romans 6:4-13; Colossians 2: 11-12; Romans 8:16)

The outward evidence of our relationship with GOD should be a life of righteousness, true holiness, and evidenced with the fruit of the Spirit (Ephesians 4:24; Galatians 5: 22-25; Titus 2:12)

7. GOD was manifested in the flesh on earth in the person of Jesus. (John 10:30; John 14-7,9; John 17:22)

After Jesus’ exaltation, his ministry continues by the work of the Holy Spirit, through the Church. It will be consummated in the personal, glorious, visible and triumphant return of the Lord Jesus Christ; and, his return will be the end of all injustice, inequalities and human sufferings (I Thessalonians 4:16-18; Micah 4: 3-4; II Peter 3:13)

There will be a final judgment whereby eternal blessings and peace will be for the righteous; but, those whose names are not found to be written in the Book of Life will be consigned to everlasting conscious punishment (Revelation 20:11-15; Matthew 25:46; Mark 9: 43-48, Psalm 98: 7-9)

There will be a new heaven and a new earth; and, the Church, the Bride of Christ, will be in GOD’s presence, serving, worshipping and enjoying Him forever (Revelation 21: 1-7).
